Sadiya Umar Farouq backs calls to end rape in Nigeria

Minister of humanitarian affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq has supported the calls to check rape in Nigeria.

Sadiya spoke in reaction to the murder of UNIBEN student Vera Omozuwa by suspected rapist.

” I am deeply worried by the rising incidents of rape and sexual assault especially with Miss Uwa’s murder in Benin City”, Sadiya tweeted Wednesday.

“Rape is a crime & a violation & must not be condoned. As a woman and mother, I add my voice to the chorus – #EndRapeinNigeria #JusticeforUwa #enoughisenough”.
